To report this teacher acquaintance

Teacher on Facebook who I used to go to school with and we know each other to say hello how are you.
He teaches RE at high school, it’s his first teaching post started this year. He has put a picture on Facebook of some lines one of his students did and put “I got to give lines for the first time of many, watch out pupils” with a smiley laughing face.
I just think putting a picture of the lines is awful and could easily be identified. I don’t him well enough to say something to him and I would doubt he would take any notice of someone he barely knows.

I would be horrified if my kids lines were put on Facebook for all to see

Tell him to take it down, he could lose his job if he’s reported.

If he doesn’t, report him.

MatildaTheCat · 18/09/2018 17:03

If he’s a fb friend you do know him well enough to give him a friendly heads up that he could be breaking his professional code of conduct. Why would you report him? He’s newly qualified and hasn’t posted anything racist or offensive.

Castleinthesky10 · 18/09/2018 17:08

I didn’t really mean report him I don’t know why I put that. I could message him and see if he takes notice. I thought someone might have mentioned it on the Facebook page but everyone seems to be patting him on the back

Oh grow up

"I will not talk about fortnite in class" 50 times isnt going to identify anyone

EyeDrops · 18/09/2018 17:11

How identifiable is it - is the child's name on? It's not hugely professional but unless the child's name or other identifying info is on, I don't think it's actually wrong..

HoleyCoMoley · 18/09/2018 17:12

He sound pretty naive, pm him and tell him to take it down although it might be too late and tell him not to do something like this again.

MadameButterface · 18/09/2018 17:14

just stay out of it

he probably has friends from his pgce or his work on his fb. if he is being out of order on his social media, they'll tell him. schools are generally pretty on the ball on this.
