I don’t click watch threads because the threads I also post in end up in my watched list (why da fuck mumsnet?!) so the list is too long.

Three points arranged vertically on the right of each poster's name - click there and choose 'bookmark'. Next time you go into the thread it'll start from there.

You need to slide to the left the post you want to bookmark and you'll find it.

Ooh, I’ve just learnt how to bookmark ! - wasn’t a shameless or ashamed placemarker before but that is so helpful for interesting threads that I hadn’t commented on, but wished to come back to.

I'm on laptop but still, I don't see the row of stars next to usernames and doing things that might be called 'sliding to the left' don't show me them either. Could someone tell me what no doubt obvious thing I'm missing? Cheers.

Also, I don’t know what it’s like nowadays, but I’ve been here - well, not since it was all fields exactly, but at least since it was brown belt. Four name changes and I don’t name change very often. And the ‘watching’ function has historically been glitchy as fuck, especially on phones. Once you’ve been stung by it a few times you just placemark instead coz it works!

On your phone at the top of ththread where the blue title is. Swipe that to the left

On the phone app - see three vertical dots on the right? That's where bookmark option is.

I always thought it was because users were ignorant of the bookmark and watch function.

I don’t use the MN app - I use the mobile website. There’s no bookmark option on the mobile website.

I gave up on the app years ago as it was too buggy! But tempted to try again
