She sees him twice a day!

I have a friend who's been seeing this guy since June, he doesn't work and she works and lives close to him.

I know it's not really my business, but she sees him twice a day! She rings him in the morning and will see him 10-15 before starting work.

Then at 12.30 she will see him again during her lunch break. That's Monday to Friday.

During the weekend they spend all day together going on dates. And because he doesn't work, he doesn't have much money and she pays for lunch most days.

I think she's too available for him, surely this is not healthy?

I'm struggling to see how this is any of your business?

and in a few weeks time when he's moved in, not paying anything in and with his arse firmly planted on her sofa, she'll wonder where it all went so horribly wrong!

This is what I'm worried about. Apparently he's looking for work.

She used to go yoga/gym in the weekend but has cancelled that now. I just think it's important to have your own life aswell, and not cancel anything and everything, just so you can see him.

I would say op, if you ve never experienced the joys of those first few months of head-over-heels ness, then you've missed out.
When I first got together with dh, I remember skipping everywhere with a permanent inane grin on my face. I'll never forget it.
You might be right, and he might be using her, but that's up to her. If she's still paying for him in a few more months, and at his beck and call, then maybe worry.

Lweji · 13/09/2018 10:28

My worry would be that, at this rate and in a few months, they could be living together, she could be pregnant, or they could even be marrying.

However, OP, don't "warn" her. Maybe just ask a few pertinent questions and let her think it over.

Personally I think its nice that they want to spend time together. My ex never really wanted to spend time with me as he was happy in his own company and it was always me who arranged to meet up, do things together etc, hence why he is now my ex :)
