To ask them to take it all upstairs?

I've got four wardrobes and a chest of drawers arriving today from Next. I'm guessing the amount of boxes is going to be ridiculous.

I have a bad back that I'm having physio for at the moment and I'm pregnant too so I'm not able to help lift anything. Would I be unreasonable to ask the delivery drivers to take all those boxes upstairs to save my husband struggling to do it on his own later?

You can ask. But they can say no if they wish.

You can ask. They might not be able to but no harm asking.

Well you're not unreasonable as that is the service Next offer and you've paid for.

Even when they say that they are not allowed to, I find holding and handing over £20 can often do the trick. All the best with your pregnancy.

Next delivery are fab. The first thing they will do is ask you where you want everything to be put.
I had a whole bunch of stuff delivered by next back in March and the delivery “team” were so friendly and accommodating.
They will put everything exactly where you want it.

Ahok good to know. Thanks everyone. I felt awful as I knew there would be loads of boxes and I would be bloody knackered going up and down the stairs that many times.
