Water pressure - wwyd?

Hi, I'm due to move house shortly and to cut a very long story short, it's been a bit of a stressful time from day one. I've had to get various things fixed/replaced which has cost me a small fortune. On top of this my buyer has been a complete pain in the the whole way through.

So today I've discovered that there is problem with the water pressure in the shower. The taps, bath etc are all fine, it's just the shower. I've been told that it's going to cost several hundred to fix as it involves removing the tiles to replace the pipework. My usual (and extremely reliable) plumber is fully booked for several weeks. So my options are:

  1. Try and find another plumber to get this fixed asap (due to move in 2 weeks) and try and find the cash to pay for it.
  2. Get a written quote and offer the cash to the buyers and hope they are a bit understanding (not much chance of the last bit happening).
  3. Do nothing, pretend there is no problem and just move on.

What would you do?

I'd do 3.

Definitely 3, no question about it. There will be no consequences to you from it, and no benefit to you from 1 or 2.

Totally 3.

I'd be more accommodating if they'd not been a pain during the sale, but given your plumber is busy I'd say nothing.

Did the buyer turn the shower on to check the pressure when viewing? If not, I'd do 3 as well.

As long as you didn’t make a big song and dance about having a power shower when they viewed the place then 3.

Is the water pressure so low that the shower isn't usable or is it just a bit weak?

Thanks for your responses. I think part of the problem is how difficult they have been throughout the process so it's interesting to see your responses are all the same.

The water pressure changes from not very strong (but doable) to full-on cold water and it goes on like this, from one to the other. It's perfectly possible to shower, it's just quite annoying when the cold water comes rushing through.
