To leave neighbour who stole my cat a note

Ok “stole” is a strong word but they are trying to coax my boy to live with them and were just caught by my ex picking the cat up and taking it in their house

It’s a very friendly cat but is like that with everyone that walks past, they told my ex he even has a food bowl in their house Angry He said they started calling of him as soon as they got out their car

Now I know cats chose their homes but I don’t think you should take them on purpose Blush

I wanted to knock but it’s past midnight, aibu to post a note saying he has food allergies and to please leave him alone? They were concerned about him being out at night but I have a catflap he’s just hunting/wandering Hmm They also called my other cat “skinny” but she’s perfect weight Blush

I agree with you, OP. It's been really hard reading some of these posts as I'm sure that's what my neighbor thinks too. Oh, they're a busy family, they probably don't have time to take good care of him. He wouldn't eat the food we leave for him if he wasn't hungry. They're probably really grateful for our help. Well. guess what? No, I'm not fucking grateful for their "help" and I hate them so much. They're cat-stealing bastards who have caused me so much stress and upset. I really do wish a plague of locusts on their shitty house. So, yeah, you other cat-stealing bastards, your neighbors probably hate your guts too.

Sorry, that was really ranty Blush

I just got annoyed because I heard my neighbor calling my cat again. 🤬

Who are the other cat stealing bastards? Angry

Perhaps if the neighbour is calling for yor cat you should turn up instead and tell them not to?

Our next door neighbour stole our beautiful tortoiseshell, they even took her on holiday with them! If I call her now she just turns tail and goes in their house! Now today he comes round asking if my hedgehog has moved back into our garage, to which I reply yes. He then asks me for some of my hedgehog mix as it keeps popping there! I told him to jog on, cheeky git you already nicked my cat you're not having my hedgehog as well. CF

I haven’t read the whole thread to hear the outcome but I really feel for you OP. There is no answer- we’ve had 2 of our cats stolen 😢 by some vile neighbours. We have literally tried everything- my DD has been round in tears, we talked nicely to them, written notes, written solicitors letters, we’ve had the local vet involved, the police, and even the local MP Grin - all to no avail. It got to the point where they said we were harassing them...so we backed off. I’m a great believer that what goes around comes around eventually, this is the only way I can reconcile myself to the fact that they’ve blatantly stolen our pets and got away with it!

Would suggest at the very next opportunity grab your cat get her to the vets PDQ and microchip registering yourself as the owner.
