Just that really. Are they useful? What do you use them for?
Sorry it’s not really an Aibu

Also a friend has an instapot- there's nothing I can't do in mine that she can apart from remote timing.

It also takes up counter space and can't be used in the hob - whereas mine can.

I do get that instapots are good - but they are also not "all that".

Depends what you want...

My best tip for becoming comfortable using your Instant Pot/Pressure cooker, is to watch some recipe videos on YouTube. Make it much easier to learn than just reading the bloody instruction manual. Also, 2 AMAZING cookbooks are by a woman named Urvashi Pitre. The books are "The Keto Instant Pot Cookbook" and "Indian Instant Pot." The recipes are simple and brilliant and come out perfectly every time. Her website is twosleevers.com and she has great recipes there as well.

To my shame I have a new Tefal pressure cooker stuffed in my cupboard that I've only used once because I have no idea how to use it properly, despite having a cook book I ordered off Amazon.

I ordered an Instant Pot a couple of years ago after some rave comments on MN about how wonderful.ir was, and then felt sick that I had paid lots of money for a gadget that would probably sit in a cupboard for years

And then the miracle gadget arrived and I could not be without it. Love love love my Instant Pot

Oh I've been trying to forget about insta pots, every time I read one of these threads I'm back on Amazon. I seem to be the only person to hate their slow cooker and im loathe to spend a small fortune on a gadget that sits in the cupboard.

Wombling, which model is your Tefal one? Do you have to keep adjusting the temp while it's on the stove?

This is what I have Kuhn Rikon

There are a few on Amazon Warehouse at the mo. Always worth checking out. Mine was repackaged and that was about it.
