Asking Questions BEFORE interview?

I have a job interview on Tues. 1st in over a decade. v nervous.

Its not clear from the job description if it is based in more than 1 location, it also inc a Uni training day 1/day per week.

I need to know before the interview. Is it reasonable to email or will that put them off? Do i just smile and say 'yes' to everything or ask about flexi working etc (it does say they offer it) at interview.
I have a mobility difficulty which doesnt prevent me from doing job but would help to have flexibility / to know before Tues

Its a reasonable question to ask. Good luck with the interview!

I'd much rather you asked before interview then if you feel the jobs not for you you're not wasting your or my time coming in for interview!

This is what the job ad says:

"This service is an 8-8 service weekdays with some Saturday shifts required. The post holder will be expected to work flexibly across the shifts required.

The service operates from a number of bases across (large rural County) and the successful post holder may be expected to work from any of these areas which includes A and H" (two locations 80miles apart)

I want to ask:
Is the job based in M. with some visits to different areas or would I be based in one area in particular?
Apart from Saturdays are the hours regular? can any of the work be done flexibly / from home?
Also which day is the study day?

Is that reasonable or should i be able to glean that from job description and im being dim?

I wouldnt ask until id been offered the job honestly. You can always turn it down if it turns out not to be what you want. As an interviewer- honestly yes, id find it off-putting if an interviewee started on a long list of questions about terms and conditions before the interview. I'd assume theyd have asked before applying if it was crucial to their interest in the role.

Yes i see that.
I only saw the job 2 days before it closed (over a bank holiday) so could not ask.
I have a physical disability (stated) which would make the driving distances fairly important.
I need to have some idea as school decisions could depend upon it and it is mid next week so if the job is 'out' for me it would help to know before the interview.

I guess im not clear if what i am asking is already described in the job advert?

If you have a disability and you are offered the job then they are, by law, required to make reasonable adjustment to accomodate you. They have clearly stated that the job holder will be expected to work in a number of locations but not really more than that. Tricky.

I think, if you need to know what the deal is before you know if youve got the job, go ahead and ask. I'd keep the questions to the essential ones though - just the things that make the job a yes/no for you.

It depends on what the job is.

If it’s in a care home: care company for example, you will have to be at the service. If it’s admin, you may be able to do some working from home. But I’ve found working from home normally becomes a privilege once you’ve proven you are able to work on your own initiative and get the work done.

If it’s 8-8 again if it’s in care for example often shifts are drawn up that are not regular but between those hours, other places you may be able to get the same.

If it says it’s across county you may be required to fill in where required as required.

Sorry I can’t be much more of help!

Its a Counselling job.
Some group work (I assume at HQ) teaching clients self help techniques. Some 1:1 at GP's.
Some direct support via phone / email.
1 day a week in college.
I can get to the HQ/college bit.
If the rest of the week is each day diff location / hours i might struggle?
