4d scan - is this unreasonable?

There's a small scan provider near me that does 4d scans. One is a comprehensive one that is £120, another is a quick one with 4x prints for £59. Of course I want to do the £59 one, but they say that this is only for women who are between 24 and 30 weeks... I am 30+5. WIBU to book this one and act nonethewiser (they don't ask for any sort of proof) rather than pay double over a few days? The other scan says up to 34 weeks...

WWYD?

I know, lots of people think 4d scans are ridiculous. I've had a horrid pregnancy and our baby is not very well, so we would like to see his little face as I've found it really really tough and am struggling to bond, so please be kind!

I would go for the cheaper scan. I was in a similar situation to you 5 years ago and I found a 4d scan really helpful for me and my older dc. My baby had problems with his face and it was really good to get a clear image of him to show my older dc.

Some 4d scanning places will scan poorly babies for free or offer a discount. It might be worth asking around.

Go for it OP. Although they will ask your EDD (or LMP) and you will have to lie to get the cheaper scan.

I did it with our sex scan. Babybond only do the "cheap" sex scan after 18w and I had it when I was 17w and gave LMP as "roughly around x date" so didn't outwardly lie as such.

I was fully prepared to pay the more expensive rate if questioned though!!!

Go for the cheaper one OP they won't be able tell. Sorry to hear your baby has health concerns, I hope the scan helps you bond.
