Try cetaphil. It's cheap, cheerful and suitable for skin that's highly sensitive. If you are still having problems after a couple of weeks, go to your gp.

Hoe about oil cleansing and then moisturising with oil if you still need some additional hydration.

It’s excellent for your skin and it’s lotetally just a blend of oils that you concoct yourself.

Try nuxe oil. I have used it if I have a flare up.

NotTheFordType · 31/08/2018 20:29

I am the same way with most widely-available face creams/washes/moisturizers.

The only thing I can suggest is to not put ANYTHING on your face for at least 2 weeks.

If the inflammation has died down after 2 weeks, try adding things back in one day at a time.

Do not add anything back that claims to be a moisturiser, day cream, anti blemish, or whatever the fuck. Just add ordinary stuff that claims to be, e.g. a concealer and see if your skin can tolerate it.

👋🏻 @Teenagemaw you poor thing.

I suffer from Rosacea which hit four years ago from no where-if this persists do go and see a GP. I have redness, dry patches and pimples under the skin.

My advice is to avoid anything with parabens as they tend to flare up sensitive skin. It's a bit pricey but my dermatologist recommended the La Roche Posay Toleriane range. I have the cleanser and spring water spray (I don't put water on my face if I can help it!!). Interestingly I found the moisturiser quite drying so need to slap it on.

Really hope it improves for you!

Thanks guys. I really need some sort of moisturizer on my face as my skin is dry and I absolutely "need" to wear make up. I only wear whatever makeup i have used for years so hopefully not allergic to that its just finding something to help moosturize my skin... will try the cetaphil as id read that was good. Ive attached a pic of the wee spots ... they dont look too bad but are sore and all over my face.

@AstroKate that sounds exactly like what I am dealing with... will look into seeing a dermatologist if this persists.

Child's farm moisturiser/nappy cream. God send

sue51 · 31/08/2018 20:49

Just realised this started at christmas. Its probably not related to a product you tried months ago. Id strongly advise a trip to your foctor and push for a referral to a dermatologist.

sue51 · 31/08/2018 20:50

Doctor not foctor

This has happened to me a lot... organic rosehip oil has been brilliant, Amazon sells one by Poppy Austin that has been great for me- very calming on the skin.

TheSeasonOfTheWitch · 31/08/2018 20:56

It's also very good for Rosacea btw.

AstroKate · 31/08/2018 20:57

@Teenagemaw are you in the UK? If so I'd certainly recommend Finecea cream. Almost overnight it's dealt with the pimples... I do let it absorb and then add moisturiser afterwards as I think you need both

AstroKate · 31/08/2018 20:59

That's on prescription only which is why I ask where you are! Although I appreciate things always seem worse when it's your own skin-it really doesn't look too bad x

ColdAndSad · 31/08/2018 21:03

Cetraben is a lovely gentle moisturiser. It doesn't have an SPF in it, so you'll need to be careful out in the sun, but it's been brilliant for me.
