To think this is a bit odd?

I am looking after my Sister's DC this week who are 8 and 4. Lovely kids who are brilliant in every way. Funny thing though is that they always go in the bathroom to change their clothes... feels a bit odd to me. My DC are younger, 5 and 3, and they will happily strip off anywhere!

Just got me thinking, should I be teaching my kids to be more discrete? They know the pants rule etc but they wouldn't think about hiding away if with family.

Maybe they're just more private than your dc's? My two DDs are fine with us but the eldest is getting more body aware so I expect if she were to be with relatives she'd be getting changed in a room away from sight x

Do you think I should be teaching mine to cover up more? My thinking is that bodies are nothing to be ashamed of etc, but I don't want them to be the odd ones out in school

No I don’t think it’s odd at all.

DD is 6 and has started to be more private in certain situations. Too bad she doesn't offer others the same curtesy.Grin

In the child's own home I think they probably are more free with their bodies and your dc's are too by the sounds of it
They'll cover up more when they feel ready to
My eldest decided she was going to hide her bits more all by herself
They were told when younger about being discreet in public though
