So took my spaniel to a river walk , it is very popular with fishermen, families , dog walkers, horse riders etc

To avoid the amount of people yesterday I kept him on the lead and walked about 2 miles along to an area which is very very quiet - I rarely see anyone here. I let him off the lead and was throwing his ball in the river . After half an hour a woman appeared wearing white trousers white top and sandals , she went down to the river side where my dog was, my dog exited the river near her (only exit to the bank ) and ran towards me right past her.

As he did this he sprayed her with water as he ran past getting some river water on her very white clothes- cue a torrent of abuse from this women how I need to control my dog , I owe her money for dry cleaning etc. He didn’t run up to her and didn’t jump up! I told her to get lost and said it was her fault and she saw my dog was in the water and would be exiting near her, and she should have moved away . I took my dog and left but now nervous about seeing her again as it’s my usual dog walk .

Was I being unreasonable or was she??

oh for goodness sake easyandy 'victim blaming' is an insult to people who have suffered. This silly woman went for a walk in inappropriate clothing in an inappropriate place and a dog shook dirty water on her! Hardly a victim..

Ridiculous woman! Some people.

A victim of what? Getting splashed with a bit of water as the dog ran past? The dog hardly dry humped her then shoved her in.

I can see both sides here - I've been in your shoes with my 'mad as a box of frogs' cocker spaniel!

He took it to a whole other level once though - he was happily splashing around in a very muddy stream when he spotted a young woman walking past (taking a popular footpath shortcut through the field we were in, right next to the stream) clad head to toe in a pristine white outfit. The little bugger looked me right in the face before running full pelt towards her & shaking manky, brown, smelly stream water ALL OVER HER! When he'd done his absolute worst, then & only then did he respond to my frantic cries!!

I was MORTIFIED!! Poor girl was on her way to work & clearly needed to go home to change so I made her call her boss & I spoke to him to apologise for making her late & assure him that she wasn't making it up! I also gave her my details for the dry cleaning bill.

At the end of the day, she was just going about her business & my dog was an utter cockwomble, so I felt more than obligated!!

Are you sure she wasn’t a ghost?

In any case sounds a bit uptight to me. Who wears all white anyway.
