To ask for your hair straightener recommendations?

I've had GHD's but the plates are now on their way out so need a new pair.

Browsing on Amazon the choice is massive for reasonably priced ones. Does anyone have a recommendation for ones that actually work well? My hair dries straight so it's just something decent to finish it off.

Another 'she' straightener fan here! Had my first pair for many years and never liked the replacements I bought of similar cost. DH bought me another pair last year for my birthday, I can't fault them!

Mine gave up the ghost at the weekend. DH has promised me some nice ones for Christmas, so I'm planning on some Cloud 9's. To tide me over I have just bought some by Remmington. Honestly, although they feel quite light and 'plasticy', they are absolutely brilliant and my hair hasn't looked so good in years - lots of compliments at work and asking if I'd had my hair done.
