Need a new weekend bag. Looking around, most seem to be very masculine/boring, I.e khaki coloured or leather, or if they are aimed at women then completely impractical, I.e smaller, open topped Hmm garish pink/zebra print.

AIBU to ask where the best weekend bags for women are?! Or should I just give up and carry my things around in a bin liner....

What kind of size are you looking for and what kind of styles do you like in other bags and clothes. I have a Cath kidston one I love but know it's not everyone's style

Antigon · 28/08/2018 13:47

I do love the Cath Kidston ones too.

What about the large size Longchamp ones? They always look very classic.

Longchamp do an extra large size that’s amazing - I use mine all the time and it’s fab. Come in lots of colours with smart leather handles.

Tripp are quite good if you want reasonable prices and a choice that allows you to filter by bag type, colours and even airline specific cabin luggage allowances - I don’t think they have a luggage by gender filter so you can probably dodge the zebra and floral varieties!

Debenhams still have a decent range I think although their website seems horribly slow at the moment.

Thanks for the replies!

I’ve had a look at Longchamp, I like their travel bag clothes - is that what you have twotailed? Is there enough room for say a weekend to London? Shame the boxford is in such boring colours....

Rucksack. Easy for getting about on public transport. No stressful lugging a bag up flights of stairs if the accommodation has no lift and you're on the 3rd floor. And if you're staying somewhere posh, its a great test of how well the staff are trained, if their faces don't show a trace of dismay when you walk in with a pack (although to be fair, my Osprey rucksacks all cost £100+ so its pretty pricey luggage!)
