We live in a managed estate in a row terraced houses. We brought five years ago, families on either side here a decade. We came home Thursday night and #5s alarm was going off, and their car nowhere to be seen. We checked their back and front doors, looked in the windows etc while trying to call him - no answer, phones switched off. We then knocked at #1s and they told us “Oh, they’re away for ten days in France” #1 are keyholders (?) and called the monitoring alarm company.
Alarm went again just before 11pm, but stopped after 15mins, then at 7.30 Friday morning.
Since then it’s gone off
Friday 10.20pm
Saturday 3.40am, 8.15am, 9pm, 11.05pm
Sunday 5.40am, 6am, 9.25am, 4.20pm, 8.50pm
Monday 5.05am, 7.20pm, 10.30pm. 11.15pm
Tuesday 12.35am
(We’re out much of the day on the weekend and worked yesterday).

I did get a text on Saturday afternoon saying “We’re abroad Sorry for the inconvenience”. I’ve texted on Sunday saying “Your alarm has a fault Could the monitoring company take a look urgently?”, but no reply. We also knocked on #1s door on Monday night to see if they’d heard from #5 or could contact the monitoring company but no one was home.
Full disclosure I have a life long illness which does make me unreasonably tired but I’m not sure I can last until Sunday if this keeps up

I work for an alarm company. Alarm has a fault, bet they never set it unless they go on holiday The alarm company should do a call out If either you or #1 Can let them into the house.

You could make a noise complaint but the authorities wouldn’t be able to do anything with the neighbours away, as they would have no grounds to force entry to the house. I would persevere in making contact with the neighbours who hold the keys, and see if they can switch the alarm off, or get the company out.

I'm not sure the monitoring company would be responsible for turning the alarm off. Someone would need access to the house. The council deals with noise nuisance but it's a bit pointless if the offenders are not around to sort it out.

Nothing to add really, keep badgering #1 to get the alarm company out, and to send you these, FlowersGin, it does send you crazy! I would seriously consider b&b for a night or two, just to escape it for a while until they return.
