My 1 year old has just spent most the week with stonking high temps due to tonsilitis. Finally turned a corner yesterday. Then today he has had a temp that at its absolute highest has been 36.2 and mostly 35.3-35.8. I cant work out if ai need to be worried or not as he is happy and playing albeit fairly tired!

You're not being stupid - having sepsis once doesn't mean someone is more likely to get it again, it if they are still 'weak' from it then they may be more likely to become more poorly from something that seems fairly straight forward though, so it's understandable that you're worried.

Seeing that he's had a high temp and now it's low I'd be seeking advice, and I'd have him checked out by a dr. The worst that can happen is that you feel a bit daft. I hope all is ok.

What the shit am I reading?? 35.3 is not normal... that's very low. 36.5-37.5 is normal. A low temperature is a concern. I would get it checked.

Just a general FYI as there is a lot of misinformation on this board and I hope the OP has already contacted a medical professional: Yes, if you have had sepsis in the past you are more prone to contracting infections going forward, including sepsis. Several long term studies have confirmed this.
