To be concerned about booking a holiday next summer?

Next year we want to go away with my sister, kids and my parents. The number of us restricts our options so I'd rather book early, but I've now got worried about it due to Brexit. I was looking at Montenegro or France, but it feels like there are a lot of variables:
Will the pound have fallen considerably so do we need to book something a lot less than current budget (unless everything is paid well in advance)?
Will it be difficult to get to France (lorry back ups)?
Will flights be affected if we go further (fuel etc)?
Would it be better to go somewhere which is not on the Euro?

I know there's no definitive answers, but opinions welcome.

I think by the summer it will all be fine.

Montenegro probably is a good option, doesn't use the euro and isn't in Schengen.

Alternatively, what about the Channel Islands?

SnowyAlps · 24/08/2018 13:34

Montenegro is amazing! Can not wait to go back.

MerryMarigold · 24/08/2018 13:34

Thanks. Hadn't thought of Channel islands.

Alps, where did you go?

(See I'm getting side tracked and burying my head in sand).

Probably easier to go somewhere you can drive to if necessary rather than fly - ferries will still be going but planes might need a bit of sorting out. Possibly ferry from Portsmouth? Tailbacks not quite so bad??

I'm probably massively overthinking Grin

Montenegro does use the Euro, even though they're not in the EU (yet).

I thoroughly recommend it, it's a beautiful place.

MerryMarigold · 24/08/2018 14:56

Ah, I didn't realise Montenegro on Euro

Why not stay in the Uk?

Summers are getting warmer with climate change, and it won’t matter how much the pound slips.

MerryMarigold · 24/08/2018 15:11

That is an option. It's just ashtrays a real risk weather wise. This year had been amazing. 2 years running???

Ashtrays= always
