To consider a breast lift or is there something else I can do?

Before I had kids the thought of plastic surgery horrified me. 2 breastfed babies later and my boobs are on the floor. It's so depressing. I am very grateful that I have a healthy functioning body but this bugs me so much. It's really getting in on me. Has anyone had a breast lift and would be willing to share their opinion, good or bad? Or is there any kind of non surgical exercise that I can do to lift them?? Thanks for reading

@garethsouthgatesmrs yes I've heard a few people say it. I even had a friends husband ask me if I wasn't worried about getting saggy boobs as I was bf Hmm

noeffingidea · 25/08/2018 11:40

I swim a lot and I've noticed a big improvement in my chest area over the last couple of years. They do seem to be higher and firmer. I think the thing is to work your pecs if you don't want to/can't go the surgery route.

fattyboomboomboom · 25/08/2018 12:04

OP - as your boobs aren't massive I would consider I would consider buying a really good bra. There's one called the Anita t-shirt bra that is comfy and gives an amazing shape. Also as your boobs have been up and down due to pg/bf you probably have no clue what your real size is. I thought I was a 36dd but was "diagnosed" as a 32ff. I can't recommend a proper bra shop enough probably some little boutique in your town. And fantasie do amazing swimsuits that give a lot of comfortable support. Your breasts may not have settled yet after bf and your weight may still be settling.

Forfive - what size did you go from / to, how long had you pondered it and how much did it cost? If you don't mind Grin

Rodial Superfit Boob job works for me, but they weren’t that sagged. Definitely perked them up and although they don’t look like pre-pregnancy they look fine.

ForFiveMinutes · 25/08/2018 14:14

fatty size wise they are about the same, just a lot more perk so I don’t need to hoist them into the bra now they sit nicely. Still a C cup but if I wear a plunge style bra they don’t flop out the middle.
I’d thought about it on and off for years and then just thought bugger it I’ll get them done, just had to fit in with school holidays. I saw a couple of surgeons before I booked anything and the one I went with cost about £6000.

Cornettoninja · 25/08/2018 14:49

do people actually say they won't feed in case it makes their breasts sag?

Hmm

Weirdly some women value a uniquely female characteristic and find the thought of their breasts deteriorating upsetting. No need for fake shock and horror. It’s completely up to them - still a massive risk with pregnancy full stop though.

Fwiw I’m an extended feeder with breasts that have undeniably taken a beating since pregnancy/dd but even I understand the myriad of reasons some women choose not to bf. After feeding this one I’m not sure it’s a decision I would make with another.

ForFiveMinutes thanks for the info, really appreciate it. And thanks to everyone who replied, it's plenty to think on. I'm doing lots of exercise at the moment including plank exercises. They did help after my last pregnancy somewhat so I'll give it another 6 months and keep thinking. Wouldn't have the money before then anyway.

If you don’t fancy implants there is the option of fat transfer. I don’t know if this can be done at the same time as a breast lift though.

Teachtolive · 25/08/2018 15:41

I wouldn't be looking for implants, I was happier as a C cup bit I'm very intrigued- is fat transfer really a thing?!

I have far too big boobs and a tiny flat bum. Wonder if they could do it the other way round for me and transfer the breast fat to my arse 😂

fattyboomboomboom · 25/08/2018 18:32

Minty - me too, massive norks, no arse. Maybe the sagging boobs is natures way of solving this and really the boobs are trying hard to migrate to the bum?

smackbangwhollop · 25/08/2018 19:22

You can get a fat transfer from another area of your body. Less invasive then having the scar from a lift. Alternatively you will find lots of options on the Real Self website where real people feedback on before and after every type of surgery and non surgical option you can think of. This is a world wide site with pictures.. Hope it helps. www.realself.com/Breast-lift/reviews

Teachtolive · 25/08/2018 19:39

smackbangwhollop thank you so much for that- exactly the kind of info I need. God, this is so weird. I spent my while life thinking I would never even consider plastic surgery, I could always make peace with any bit if me I didn't like but this has got into my head in a way I didn't expect Sad

Another vote for making an appointment to visit Rigby and Peller before committing to surgery. I was feeling pretty low when i first went to visit them. Nowadays, it just hurts a bit in my wallet, the rest is all good.

Isn't it at least worth a try? But do make an appointment.

Teachtolive · 25/08/2018 20:20

FinallyHere I would love to do that but there's no Rigby and Peller where I am. I'm not commuted to surgery in any way yet. Just looking for experiences. I may yet shake this feeling, I guess it might just be part of the identity crisis that can come with motherhood. Not only do i have a new role, my body doesn't even look like mine!

OP - Rigby and Peller are amazing but there are lots of independent underwear boutiques in even fairly small towns.
