ive noticed this a lot especially recently when ive bought some, theres barely anything in for a £1 i seem to be paying for more air than anything, is it like christmas sweet tins where theyre getting less and less?

If these are the charity bags you see in office reception type places... well, yes... you are mainly giving money to charity, but they are giving you some sweets as well.

If it IS those type of things, then yes, you are being unreasonable. If you want value for £1-00 go to a shop.

Also.... is it really worth getting upset about? The amount of sweets you get from a £1-00 bag??

I assume OP means the Cadbury pouch sharer bags - the fudge; crunchie rocks; twirl etc?

In which case YANBU; they seem to get smaller all the time! I guess that’s not a bad thing healthwise. But naturally tax dodging Cadbury don’t change the price (just the “mouth feel”Hmm)

Agentornika · 22/08/2018 13:04

Totally agree! The peanut m&ms ones are shite, you get about 20 sweets

PasstheStarmix · 22/08/2018 13:07

Yes as at one time a pouch of sweets would be suffice to share between more than one person and last ages but now one person could devour one quite easily

PasstheStarmix · 22/08/2018 13:10

Heath and tackling the obesity’s crisis will be the excuse but really it’s just greedy companies making yet more profits. There’s ways to make their products healthier without duping the customer out of half the sweets and raising prices.

I thought the OP meant the office charity bags, if so, she is being unreasonable - these are clearly a charity donation with a few sweets as a reward to encourage donation.

Obviously someone has worked out the people are more likely to donate if they are getting a few pence worth of sweets, compared with just a donation box.

People eating whole 'sharing bags' is probably a sign of greed rather than the bags getting smaller. A portion of sweets isn't supposed to be several hundred calories.

PasstheStarmix · 22/08/2018 13:14

No Barbara op is meaning the pouches of sweets i’m assuming. Yes on the sharing bags but they are meant for sharing aren’t they and often not that many in there to share between many people!

AwdBovril · 22/08/2018 13:15

They're selling sweets. I don't think they're concerned with our waistlines, so they really need to stop trotting out the excuse of "tackling the obesity crisis", and just own up to it being rising prices & corporate greed.

staydazzling · 22/08/2018 20:52

Yes i mean the cadbury sharing bags etc, they could do 50p , £1 etc but are far too greedy its hard to do bowls between 3 or 4 when theres so little in, grrr bloody greed!!! And yes dont get me started on what theyve done to chocolate! Confused

YANBU. I am a big Revels fan, and the £1 bags are really pretty small.

staydazzling · 22/08/2018 23:18

Its a travesty! Yes the revel bags are much smaller than in previous times
