Pretty sure I am about to get my head bitten off but does anyone else find it exceedingly annoying when parents of babies seem to use them as a billboard for all their personal agendas/right-on views. I’m as much a feminist as anyone but the sight of my heavily-instagrammed newborn niece constantly photographed in onesies with slogans such as “never underestimate the power of women and girls” and “this girl can” make me cringe! I have a small daughter myself, try to raise her to organically be who she wants to be. I’m all for those feminist feelings and ideas just not plastered on the chest of a little girl who has no agency or understanding (to be fair my daughter is actually at an age where she might go understand them— but my niece is 1 week old!) The whole slogans on tiny kids thing just feels so try hard by the parents. Like it’s all just another chance to show off your views on social media. Anyone relate?!
