to leave cleaner on her own?

This is coming off the back of a thread I posted about 45 mins ago but haven't had lots of replies... never had a cleaner before. She arrived this morning and is so lovely. I didn't want to get in her way so I went through basic bits and pieces with her, left a load of products for her and went out. I thought this was the done thing, but now I'm wondering if I was rude? I don't know why but I feel really anxious about this, and feel like I should go back and make conversation. I honestly just didn't want to get in her way...

Anyone? Tell me IABU and silly and that it's my anxiety/pregnancy hormones talking!

TTEA I didn't want to upset you.
The main thing that you can do for your cleaner is tidy up and make sure you don't leave dirty dishes hanging around.

derxa you didn't upset me at all! No stress Smile

Look, I don't suffer form anxiety but even I wonder if i come across as rude or unfriendly by trying to not be in when my cleaner comes or by leaving when she arrives. The way I now see it though is that I will be under her feet if I'm hanging around. My cleaner is really lovely though so it is nice to chat to her although I'm sure she would prob rather just clean and go Grin.

@Helloisitteaurlookingfor I would probably want to be left on my own too to be honest Smile

Thanks folks!

I think most cleaners prefer to be left alone. I usually tell mine to help herself to whatever she wants to eat and what I need doing that day and go out and leave her to it.

It's fine to leave her alone at this time of year but whatever you do, don't leave her alone at Christmas! You must entertain her on Christmas Day and Boxing Day Grin

TTEA. No I don't judge. I just get on with the job and love seeing it looking great!
The worst one I ever did had giant spiderwebs everywhere. But now the little critters don't stand a chance...
