Due to talk about membership price options with them this week I know how much my friend pays for her family membership and if I could shave 10%-15% off per month we could definitely join. Anyone done this any tips pls?!

They're fairly inflexible on price. They might chuck in some extras like personal training sessions or swimming lessons but are unlikely to be able to shift the basic price - it's set centrally and not by indvidual club.

On Martin Lewis' website he says that you can usually negotiate away the joining fee.

Do they do corporate memberships at a cheaper rate?
Could be worth looking into if you work for a large local employer?

As above, you can haggle some guest passes, PT sessions and swimming lessons but they won't change the monthly cost for you.

Sugarhunnyicedtea · 19/08/2018 09:13

They will sometimes waive the (extortionate) joining fee, or offer a pt session, a few guest passes or free towel usage but they won't budge on the monthly fee

They'll think you're mad. The price is the price. If you think it's too expensive join another club

araiwa · 19/08/2018 11:10

The price is high to keep poor people out.

NicoAndTheNiners · 19/08/2018 11:12

Won't happen.

People pay different prices depending on when they joined ime they don't seem to increase prices in line with new fees.
