AIBU to be so bloody proud today

I have had what can only be described as the worst possible year I've ever had.
I lost my beloved nan, my dad nearly died in hospital after surgery for cancer.
Me and DH lost our house and are homeless with 5 of our 8 children.
But.. today I passed my first year exams. Never ever did I think it would happen. This is for a professional qualification that will change our lives.
For the past year I have worked so bloody hard, getting up at 3am to do coursework then go to work full time plus spend a little time with the kids. Today it is all worth it.
Just wanted to share Smile

Wetdogloveshubert · 17/08/2018 22:34

Fantastic achievement - well done Yourallmyfavourite1!

For what it's worth, I remember both my parents doing OU degrees when I was young, and have always felt such pride that they juggled that along with ft work and childrearing. You're doing an amazing thing, and setting a great example. Be so proud.

buckeejit · 17/08/2018 22:58

Fantastic. Well done, OP. You should be really proud.

Hope things look up for you and your family now.

Yourallmyfavourite1 · 17/08/2018 23:42

Wow, I really didn't expect so many messages of support, your all so lovely, thank you.
Happypuppy I didn't choose to have 8 children, we are a blended family and I love every single one of our crazy Brady bunch, we only have 5 with us at the moment because the older 3 are adults and doing their own thing. We can afford them, we don't claim benefits or anything and me and DH work a lot of hours to make sure they have what they need. This degree means we can hopefully move into our own house and get our lives back on track.

But where are the 3 kids that aren't with you?
