School shoes

Can I ask what school shoes you have got/ are getting your children.

Ds1 (12) is going into Y8 (last year he went through 3 pair of Adidas Gazelles, 2 in the same size, 1 in a half size bigger.

Ds2 (9) Y4, went through 6 pairs last year (Adidas, 2 x kickers and Timberland ) because he grew 3 sizes last year...

I dislike Clarks shoes, however like Smart-rite, however the nearest store closed near us, and as hes a H fitting I can't buy them on line.

Just wondering what shoes your kids would wear.... plus last?

Shoes need to be all black and leather.

tried clarks but E fitting was too wide, tried M&S narrow - too wide, so ended up with Van's all black lace ups - not sure the teachers will be impressed if laces come undo often on my 5yr old, but they were the only shoes that didn't flop off my very narrow footed DC....

Start rite do some styles down to a D fitting. Dd usually trashes shoes every 3 months, literally rips them apart but has a pair of start rite angry angels with a DM type sole on which have lasted since Christmas with an insole so are looking at going into next year as still look good.
