My son is 16 has been dating a girl now for a couple of years she just turned 18 he had asked if she could spend the night I said no he said he would just go to her moms house then and sleep over there so I took his keys from him then the girlfriend came and picked him up and they left. what more could I do

I think majority on mumsnet are from UK, which makes sense as it's a UK founded company.

You're not in the UK hence why people are intrigued as your son can drive at 16 (not allowed in UK) you spell realise with a Z (We use s instead of Z on such words) and there's a city curfew (I don't really know any cities in UK with curfews).

Well it seems like actually you're not fussed about him having sex, you're fussed about him driving after curfew, which is an entirely different AIBU.

FWIW most people have said that on the question of sex, yes YABU so if you want to change it into "AIBU to want my 16 yo DS not to drive after a city curfew" you'll get very different replies.

However, given that most of us are in the UK, its not something we have any knowledge or experience of, unlike raising children, which most of us DO have experience of, even those who disagree with you funnily enough.
