Yesterday I cut up a bunch of chillis and it’s burned my hand.

It’s so painful. I’ve tried handwash, soap, toothpaste, oil, washing up liquid and vodka.

What can I use to get it off?!?! Please.

It’s burning!

A quick google says put alcohol on the skin and then soak in milk! Not sure if it will help, hope so.

The vodka made it worse but currently sitting with hand in a glass of milk but it still feels so bad

Argh. Googled again, Colgate toothpaste is suggested? Might be worth going to the chemist OP and ask them for advice. Hope it calms down soon.

TV last night said milk best as it has fat in it. Anything water based not nearly as good. HTH

The toothpaste didn’t work and the milk cooled it but only whilst in it and we need to go out :(

Lemon has worked a little bit again only whilst on it.

Dd has hospital and if it’s still bad after that I think I will go to chemist

If the chilli chemical is still there (which it might be as it's not soluble in most of the things you have tried) slather it with butter, wait 10 mins then wash off with soap.

However, it sounds to me as if maybe the chemical is gone and the pain is residual from the chemical burn being left for so long - in which case I suggest you go to a pharmacy and see if they can sell you something - I know there are good cooling and soothing gels for heat burns but I don't know if they are appropriate for chemical burns.
