How important are looks in a relationship

They don’t need to look like a supermodel, but there has to be something attractive about them. My DP isn’t conventionally beautiful, but he’s got beautiful eyes, cheeky grin, a great jawline, and a set of AMAZING shoulders that come from 6 years of competitive swimming. It’s the shoulders that tip me over the edge if I’m being honest.

I've got a physical type. I've tried to pursue dating with someone who is perfect relationship material, but doesn't fit what I want, physically and I just couldn't do it.

Chemistry is more important. Looks can fade.

Well I think you have to be physically attracted to them as well as mentally and emotionally. When I met DH there was an instant physical attraction between us- not that either of us is a stunner. He is the type I find attractive physically ; tall, broad, not skinny but not a muscleman. He's got thick dark hair and strong features and lovely hazely eyes. But if I hadn't of liked him and felt emotionally connected to him and the fit hadn't been right n terms of values, interests, humour etc, looks wouldn't have mattered.

Money + ugly = handsome!
