What is this bump on my hand?

My hands were crazy itchy, I scratched it and this came up. It was like a blister and popped and now I’m left with a lump.

I have a phobia of warts and I’m terrified that’s what this is.

Given it's itchy and the fact it looks like a bite I'd say it's a bite.

Put some sudocrem on it or something and just forget about it, it will probably be gone (or smaller) in the morning.

We all get weird spots and stuff, it’s part of being alive.

Makes me sad reading a post written by someone with bad health anxiety. To be anxious enough about that little spot on your finger, to take a picture and post on an online forum shows the extent of your health anxiety.
I used to suffer badly, op. I’d find a teeny lump in my groin or something and start touching it and obsessing and spending the evening almost in tears. I feel for you, op, it really is no fun.
Put something on tv, don’t let yourself look or feel the spot and distract yourself

DD has two mozzy bites on her ankle, about an inch apart. It's the sudden wet weather.

In fact she hasn't got an ankle now it's that swollen. Plenty of antihistamine and it's going down slowly.

It is. I have anxiety in general but the health aspect is very severe. Whenever I get any weird lump I immediately obsess, wash my hands until they bleed and feel like a leper and like I can’t touch anything.

It’s awful and I hate it. Thank you for your post it helps me realise I’m being irrational

It looks like the mild pompholyx eczema I get in the summer. Not contagious, not permanent, but sore and irritating. Don't play with or scratch it, it makes it swell more.
Leave it alone, it will be fine Smile
