Dog shit in the bathroom when I got up for a wee in the night.

It was quite considerate of the dog to crap in the bathroom, rather than somewhere that was carpeted though.

Not me but my daughter - she was about 8 at the time and stepped on a decapitated mouse that one of the cats had left at the foot of the stairs - in bare feet. The worst but was that it wasn't quite dead and let out a dying squeak as she stepped on it. Her screams must have been heard miles away!

Gingaaarghpussy · 10/08/2018 18:19

Dead bird.
Snail barefooted.

This thread is horrific and not tea time reading.

And yes, the cat sick was still warm. With offending cat just 2 foot away. Clearly proud of what he had just achieved.

A very large dead spider that the cat had chewed up and spat back out (barefoot)...I was nearly sick, it was the combination of it being slightly crunchy but still somewhat squelchy 🤮

Angie169 · 10/08/2018 18:37

Dead slug on several occasions due to my house being invaded by them regularly and us having a brown carpet.
Three pins on a hairdryer plug god o screamed .
Not quite the same but
Working high up in a barn trying to avoid falling into the gaps between bales , banged my head on a beam and fell about 30 foot onto a dead crow

emwithme · 10/08/2018 18:54

Half a mouse which one of the cats had kindly left under the washing line. It was only a couple of weeks ago so I was pegging put the washing barefoot.

keepingbees · 10/08/2018 19:04

It was a very near miss but the (would have been) worst was at a country park. We were walking and my dd was about 3 and was running around on the open grass. As she ran full speed towards me and DH we spotted a dead rabbit, rotting, minus its fur and eyes and covered in flies directly in her path. It was so quick but like slow motion, we had no time to react and both just watched in horror as she ran full pelt at it. All we could do was watch and hold our breath. Somehow she sort of flew over it mid stride, and me an DH just looked at each other with total relief. It would have been a very messy skid resulting in a total clothes strip off!

Cat went through a phase of being sick on my duvet in the night. Also earlier this week I found a tiny bit of cat poo on my jeans... and then spotted little dots in different places.

NoDressSense · 10/08/2018 19:06

Another one saying slug when I'd gone out barefoot to get the washing in .

A sewing needle that bizarrely was able to go almost as deep as the eye of it into my heel 😩

FASH84 · 10/08/2018 19:08

I trod on a big juicy slug last weekend when I was hanging out washing, it squelched between my toes and was still alive I felt it move 🤮

MaggieAndHopey · 10/08/2018 19:12

A cow pat, in leather sandles.

ipswichwitch · 10/08/2018 19:18

A cactus. Barefoot.
Our cat at the time liked to test her chin on top of DM’s cactus, and occasionally would knock little bits off. Along I came with no socks, or shoes, walking past the afore mentioned cat (even gave the wee sod a stroke 🙄) and trod on it. Took DM an hour to remove all the little spikes from my foot.

ipswichwitch · 10/08/2018 19:18

Rest her chin ffs

Sandstormbrewing · 10/08/2018 19:48

At 8 months pregnant my cat left a mouse head for me, clearly thought I needed the protein. I wasn't so grateful when I stepped on it going to the loo in the night Envy < not envy

A slug when barefoot was also pretty grim.
