To just lie in bed all day?

My family have taken all of my kids out for the day today (first time anyone has had all 4 of them)
My house is a tip, I had all these grand plans to scrub it top to bottom, do a little food shop and finish painting one of the bedrooms

Only now the time has come and I am so so very tired
I have gone through a recent break up, we’re half way through the summer holidays and we had a sickness bug descend on us this week
I’m cold and tired and just feel so wobbly I’ve come back to bed

But now I have ‘the guilt’
Could you all just tell me how I’d be massively unreasonable to spend my childfree time actually being productive and having a little nap, a cup of tea and a hot bath would be a much better way to spend the day?

chocolatecoffeeaddict your username was so hopeful, but I realise we have nothing in common....

The only thing that would make this wrong was if you felt guilty! You've bloody earned it. Savour every cosy minute!

Jealous!

Enjoy! You're only half way through the hols and you need to take this opportunity to recharge your batteries.

I too followed your thread and it's understandable that you need a bit chill time when you're going through emotional trauma BrewCake

Sounds like you need to take some time to take care of you! Duvet day! Stat! BrewCakeFlowers

You can't pour from an empty cup!

You'll be far better off taking care of yourself and getting a proper rest than working yourself to burnout.

Have a cup of tea in bed, a lovely long soak in the bath and a proper recharge so you can give your all when they come back. (that way you can frame it as being as much for everyone else as it is for yourself and dodge the guilt)
