2.5 hours this morning despite the fact that 3/4 of the car was packed yesterday and I made the packed lunch last night. Like this every friggin' time we go anywhere. Exhausted already.

Packing to leave a place is always much easier and quicker for some reason. No greenhouse ...

We always leave at 3-5 am. Car packed night before. Day bags packed. Lunch packed. We bundle kids out of bed and into car and go go go. X

God, how I sympathise OP!
DH is never, ever on time for anything so I just tell him we have to get to X an hour before actually need to be there...... It drives me mad😡
Actually leaving him behind has gone through my mind on many an occasions!
The worst time was when I'd been up since dawn with the horses plaiting up, grooming and preparing everything (including food) for an important horse show. Got everyone and everything loaded up, heaved a sigh of relief that we were actually on time when (D)H disappeared.
He'd gone for a sh1t, shave and shower, having contributed precisely zilch to the hard work.
So we sat, and waited....... I could have killed him!

Eating breaking en route seems to be a common theme. Will remember that for next time.
