Jack Johnson, better together

Neverender · 08/08/2018 22:31

All of Me - John Legend

Second song - 99 Problems
*this was hilarious for lots of reasons but my DH's grandad going crazy on the dance floor was the best thing ever and all of my friends say they think it was hilarious. Not everyone's cup of tea, obviously, but worked for us!

DiabolicalMess · 08/08/2018 22:31

We had Heaven by Brian Adams - but the DJ Sammy candlelight remix Grin the dance version was in the charts when we got together and was on in all the clubs when we went out 'courting' lol.

Wild ones - You Me At Six

Hushabyelullaby · 08/08/2018 22:42

We had Savage Garden 'Truly, Madly, Deeply'. The song was literally everywhere when DH and I started seeing each other.

What reminds us more of our wedding day and means more to us though, is that we had a last dance. The song we had was Nothing Else Matters by Metallica and the San Francisco Symphony orchestra. The words mean so much and it just sums up the whole essence of us, our relationship and our lives. The dance floor was packed, young couples, middle aged couples, parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Wonderful World, Louis Armstrong

Forever in Love by Kenny G.

Instrumental, but exquisite. He actually wrote it right before he married his wife. You can find it on YouTube.

Jackie Wilson Higher and Higher. My
husband picked it not me

Love this! I considered this so much for our first dance!

We don’t have “a” song, so I just picked Madness - It Must Be Love.

I’ve been to 5 weddings and 3 of them have had Al Green - Let’s Stay Together as the first dance!

PositiveVibez · 08/08/2018 22:45

We had Must be Love by Madness.

19lottie82 · 08/08/2018 22:45

crow2018 · 08/08/2018 22:50

No matter what - papa roach

KathySelden · 08/08/2018 22:51

We had two, our first was Billy Joel, Don’t go changing. The band then played Only fools rush in, considering I told everyone I was going to marry my husband after just two months together it seemed apt.

bluemoonchances · 08/08/2018 22:51

It was totally cheesy but perfect... I just can't stop loving you - Michael Jackson

Clevs · 08/08/2018 22:52

Rule the World by Take That.

DaveGrohlsMrs · 08/08/2018 22:52

We had two. The first was Bring Me Sunshine by Morecambe and Wise. We did a short choreographed routine as we are both crap dancers! We are not really into lovey dovey romantic songs. The second was Use Somebody by Kings of Leon. I love the Barenaked Ladies! Wish I had thought of that song!

pingoose · 08/08/2018 22:53

We had the Swell Season's version of Into The Mystic. Still gives me goosebumps.

IWouldLikeToKnow - When the Stars Go Blue is such a great choice!
