To ask this daft question about aptamil when I'm three kids in??

So dc3, also dd2, has shown uber disgust in trying new aptamil formula. She only has a bottle at bedtime so that dh can do her bedtime whilst I still do the 2 bigger ones. Going back to the boob would be a bit of a problem for them and I enjoy putting them to bed and having some special time together to chat and cuddle.

Anyway, what I was wondering was does anyone have any advice/solutions? I thought that being on my third I'd be able to solve this relatively simple issue by myself but I've just (a few hours ago) scraped out the last bit of powder from my last box and have only got a few bottles of ready made left.

AIBU to ask you wise mumsnetters? Help?!

Think you're matching me with the messing up typing 😂 the eldest, Ds is 4 and only just stopped doing it barring meltdowns, which is where the youngest got it from 😂 she's only a year and half so I either get 'mama' 40x a day from the pair of them or screeching from madame, it goes straight through me!

We heard there was a lot of problems with the new Aptamil so switched to Cow and Gate. But apparently so have a lot of people and I couldn't get any Cow and Gate the last time I went to the supermarket.

Luckily DD is mostly breastfed, so I've got a wee while before we run out, but am going to try Aldi if there are still problems.

Thansk steak good to know!!

Yes Queen, I reckon I am!! Sounds really lovely, especially with a migraine, you must be in heaven! A friend got fed up with her DS5 saying 'mummy' every ten seconds so told him she'd changed her name to John. So she hears mummy far less for a day, it was more "mummy, mummy.......John?" Hahaha

That has really made me laugh. Something about the name John - so funny!

OFuckShitAndBollocks · 06/08/2018 23:05

When she told me I did almost wee, laughing so hard. And the pause before he said the name, hilarious!

Ds - suspected autism (for reference) - didn't call me mummy until 3.5, barely still does now, instead he calls me by my first name 😂 the youngest main word is mama or wee-wee so near enough everything that comes out her mouth is mama wee wee 😂 doesn't matter what she's doing or who she's talking to, always mama wee wee 😂

OFuckShitAndBollocks · 06/08/2018 23:26

I hope your first name is better than John?! Not similar but he used to live fireman Sam and liked to call me 'mam' like Norman Price. Very occasionally he called me Dylis (sp)!!!

Mama wee wee is fabulous! I love things like that!

Sorry, that made no sense, Ds1 used to call me....

Wow, even my correction was incorrect. Better go to sleep and recharge brain!!

If there is any reaction to the Aldi or cow and gate, constipation or trapped wind there is cow and gate comfort it tastes ok too. Blush

A midwife told me a few years ago that aptamil and cow and gate are exactly the same - same formula same machines producing it - just different packaging o charge more! I would to Cow and gate all the way if you were using the old aptamil before.
