Biscuit I'm intrigued... think I've learnt most of mumsnet abbreviations now but not sure what a biscuit means!! Help a girl out?

I thought it mean arsehole. As an insult not an anatomical description.

Devilishpyjamas · 05/08/2018 22:31

What Upstart said - it dates from Gordon Brown’s mumsnet chat

Notevilstepmother · 05/08/2018 22:32

Example of a reverse

pictish · 05/08/2018 22:33

I think it’s the pictorial equivalent of ‘Aye right then”.

73kittycat73 · 05/08/2018 22:33

At first I thought it was a boob. Confused

DerelictWreck · 05/08/2018 22:33

I thought it meant asshole?

Sparklesocks · 05/08/2018 22:36

Biscuit!

Either taking the biscuit with your ridiculous post, or here take a biscuit to shut up your attention seeking!

UnlikelyAstronaut · 05/08/2018 22:37
Hmm Biscuit
TheRedHatofPatFerrick · 05/08/2018 22:58

I always thought it was a bun, as in what the poster has just written is about to start a bunfight. Never saw it as a biscuit until now.

newplacenofriends · 05/08/2018 23:00

I thought it was a pineapple with a glacier cherry in the middle, like you get on a pineapple upside down cake 😂

Chalady · 05/08/2018 23:02

Biscuit It means, you are such a twat, that there are no words to answer you.

Beautifulblue · 05/08/2018 23:09

Thanks everyone! I agree it didn't look like a biscuit at first glance, looks like a flower to me. But the more I look the more it becomes a jammy dodger. & I understand it's meaning too! Thanks!

I thought it was "stop being a tart"... because the biscuit is a jam tart

Bluntness100 · 06/08/2018 07:22

It's interesting that it's used so often and there is such variances in what people think it means.

Which means that when someone uses it, they've no clue what the person receiving it thinks it means, which makes it fairly pointless. 🤣

Blatherskite · 06/08/2018 09:50

It means "no comment" and references the Gordon Brown chat where he refused to say what his favourite biscuit was. It's supposed to be a Jammy Dodger.

It's used a lot where someone has said something so daft/offensive/pointless that they're not worth responding to.

BunsOfAnarchy · 06/08/2018 09:58

Oh fackin hell i thought it was a marigold or something similar.
I was wondering why posters were handing our single flowers lol.
Gonna lurk all day just to hand out biscuits now Grin

WomanInBoots · 06/08/2018 15:53

Why would Gordon Brown refuse to say what his favourite biscuit is? Hardly a loaded question? Weird. Am I missing something? I usually am.

Blatherskite · 06/08/2018 16:13

I think that's why it became such a 'thing' WomanInBoots. There was no reason for him to refuse to answer and every other politician who'd done a chat answered the same question happily.

BlancheM · 06/08/2018 16:26

Oh I thought it was a medal people get for managing to be incredibly ridiculous or pathetic!

MrsT1983 · 06/08/2018 16:38

I thought it was a boob too 😳

As in “You’re such a tit, I can’t even be bothered to type a reply”

Tika77 · 06/08/2018 16:46

I thought that was a doughnut. As in ‘I’ll get something nice and come back watching the rest of you ripping each other apart’.
