@Jinglesplodge I think it's the hair removal sponge, not magic erasers! (another jazzybumblee subscriber, thought I was the only non teenage subscriber until now)

I definitely prefer aliexpress, they have almost the exact same items on there.

There's a youtuber called the cheap chick who appears to have an addiction to wish, she has loads of videos on things she bought.

I ordered something for the first time the other week and it was not like the image shown. In fact it was a cardigan which was made from two different materials and shades of grey. I complained, with a picture and they refunded the money with no arguments. Didn’t even have to send the item back.

Hair removal magic sponge im afraid. But i am considering bulk buying magic erasers too.

EssentialHummus · 08/08/2018 21:53

You'll find it all, probably cheaper, on AliExpress.

TheBigFatMermaid · 08/08/2018 22:31

I love Wish! I have ordered quite a few bits on there. I started because my DD sent me a link to a handbag she wanted for her birthday (not grabby, I had asked for ideas) and it came so quickly and was such good value, being both cheap and good quality. Then I downloaded the app and have bought a few Christmas presents from there for this year.

My main piece of advice is read the small print. I have seen a few reviews for say, gel pens, saying 'It was only the refill. not the actual pen', but it says clearly in the description, of you read far enough down, that they are refills. The picture are of pens though.

I read carefully, and read each items review and I have not been disappointed.

I make. Miniature things, and wish is great for those things. V v cheap and usually arrive early.

SargeantAngua · 08/08/2018 23:51

I ordered a 4 things a few weeks ago - 2 keyrings, slippers and a pack of husbands. Found a code online that knocked 1/3 off and paid less than £6 inc postage. Paid by PayPal with no probs and all came early. Slippers especially are great. I don't think I'd buy anything over a fiver or anything electronic from there, and some things are cheaper/ same price on eBay or Amazon, but I think there are some very good bargains to be had.

TheBigFatMermaid · 09/08/2018 00:09

Oh goodness Sargeant a pack of husbands? I missed that when browsing!

BackforGood · 09/08/2018 00:20

someone was recommending them to me a couple of weeks ago. She is very impressed.
However since looking , I now CONSTANTLY get adverts popping up on y phone that I can't work out how to get rid of. It is very annoying.

KC225 · 09/08/2018 01:56

No. No. No. Child sex dolls. Could never buy from a company that sells child sex dolls.

Goawayquickly · 09/08/2018 06:20

Wish is a storefront, I use Ali Express occasionally.

Did I just read someone's friend claims her stuff hasn't turned up and gets refunded. That's theft! Out and out theft. Pp says she's not 'brave' enough to do it herself, not brave enough to be a thief?

Lucyinthewardrobe · 09/08/2018 06:46

Yes YABVU to order from and give money to a company that sells CHILD SEX DOLLS. Please just try to see beyond the bargains and ‘bizarre’ products and actually let that sink in.

Do you really want to be a customer of an organisation that counts sick paedophiles amongst its customers? That goes for everyone else in this thread too who shops at WISH and who continue to post enthusiastically about its fantastic bargains EVEN AFTER ITS BEEN POINTED OUT that they sell products to peadophiles.

Give your money to a company that doesn’t make its money from paedophilia. And if you think that your cheap dresses and magic sponges matter more than not supporting an organisation that promotes child abuse then you should hang your heads in shame.

Grumpyoldblonde · 09/08/2018 07:05

Those dreadful dolls were also found on amazon.
Wish is like an online market, loads of different vendors and hopefully they've got rid of the disgusting stuff, they said they would it's horrible to think there is a demand for them.

They clearly don't vet the vendors on the platform well enough hopefully they will now.

I think some turned up on eBay too for a while. The Chinese sellers use multiple platforms to sell their wares.

Basically wish is like a huge online shopping mall.

SargeantAngua · 09/08/2018 07:49

Oh goodness Sargeant a pack of husbands? I missed that when browsing!

Gah stupid autocorrect! I meant hairbands, sorry, much more boring!

Zoflorabore · 09/08/2018 07:55

I've had a few things from there and all have arrived ( from china so take a while ) and have been fine.

Tip- you do need to read the product description very carefully!

My ndn is obsessed with buying from there and she was rather shocked and dismayed that the "pressure cooker" she ordered for a POUND was actually a pressure cooker valve.

Her face was priceless Grin

MipMipMip · 09/08/2018 11:03

Amazon sold a paedophile manual. EBay sold stolen goods. High streets sell porn (which disgusts some).

Wish is a storefront. They do not get every item. There are thousands of sellers on there. I am not going to hold a company responsible for what its users do, just as I don't hold mumsnet responsible for what some people say. If reported mumsnet will delete comments. If reported wish will delete items.

MipMipMip · 09/08/2018 11:03

Vet every item*

MummytoCSJH · 09/08/2018 11:16

As some pps said, Ali express is much better.
