To think cat needs to go to the vet???

Cat has just come in. At first seemed to be walking very slowly but then noticed he wasn’t putting weight on his back left leg.

He will sit on it but when walking round he just won’t put weight on it and it’s right by his side

Mother is refusing to take to the vet because it will cost £400 to calll them out on a Sunday apparently

Phone the vets and ask their advice. If they are anything like my horses vets who are brilliant, if the cat doesn’t need seeing immediately they will say.
My mare found a nail while hacking on a Saturday and she needed vet out for the next three days for intravenous antibiotics, it cost a fair bit yes but when you have animals you have to be prepared for these things, the animals welfare comes first. Insurance is also a must( or at least put some money aside each month for vets fees.
