She’s been sleeping with sling on and won’t let us near it but really not sure if DD should be going to bed with it on?

There was no instructions from hospital and not at Fracture clinic for quite a few days. Feeling a bit clueless at the moment!

Any experience of this type of sling? It’s always been different ones before - she’s a bit of a pro 😱

From your photo it looks like she has a Plaster of Paris cast on. If she has then no need for the sling as it's to keep her lower arm elevated to prevent her hand swelling up. Whether it's a full pop or a back slab the sling is to elevate the lower arm/hand. It doesn't affect the fracture sight which is immobilised by the cast.
At night she can put her arm on a pillow to keep elevated and encourage her to wiggle her fingers. Monitor fingers for colour movement and sensation until post trauma swelling reduces. Colour- pink and healthy. Sensation- no numbness or tingling and can feel you lightly touching her fingers. Movement - able to wriggle fingers easily.
Hard to give advice online if you're worried call them back.

Sorry to add though if she prefers to keep the sling on it is not going to cause a problem if it makes her feel happier. I'd let her as long as it's not dragging on her neck.
Even though I'm an RN it isn't really the best way to get medical advice and if you've got a number to call I'd call it to clarify when you can.
Good luck!

Thanks. Yes I will phone them today. I just don’t like to bother them. And already phoned yesterday about the fingers which are swollen (but pink and colour returns quickly to them if I press for a few seconds)
She’s ok at night with it on. And we are just about managing to get her dressed with it on!!
