I need easy ways to make life easier and help me get my life in order in all areas

Tonight have have used a garlic press with an UNPEELED love of garlic as recommended by Jamie Oliver. Genius.
Give me yours that don’t involve needing stuff I don’t have but help make stuff a bit easier or cheaper?

Buy blank greeting cards with nice neutral designs. Being blank means you can use them for anything. Clinton's have some nice budget ones

Freeze milk (bought in plastic containers). In the freezer it will last 6 months.

Just take it out the night before, leave on the side and it’s ready to go in the morning.

You’ll never run out of fresh milk again.

I'll get bollocked for recommending amazon but when DCs over, say, 10, come home and casually mention that they are going to Friend's birthday do bloody tomorrow Hmm , and you're at work all day, Amazon vouchers have guaranteed next day delivery and the gift card they come with is fine as a birthday card.

I do the zip lock bag thing for all outfits. I've just packed to go on holiday and had to pick up 15 bags of clothes - awesome!

If you’re worried about your food in the freezer going out of date, store it by eat by date rather than type.
A friend of mine used to do this so she knew what she had eat that month.
Fortunately we are gannets and never forget to eat anything!!

When I buy frozen veg I decant it from the bag into square plastic tubs, which stack nicely in my chest freezer.
1 clever, 1 silly;
Clever; I have an electric pressure cooker, and if you're boiling eggs for egg salad, break them into a dish and chop them up after cooking. Saves all that peeling.
Silly; if you're liable to drop food on the kitchen floor, get a dog! My 2 will hoover up anything I drop.

I keep a small sellotape dispenser in my larder for taping up opened bags of rice, pasta, dried fruit, nuts etc. Keeps everything fresh and spill free.
I put scented oil on cotton wool balls and place in the Dyson, makes hoovering smell lovely and if I use a calming oil, it makes me less angry!
I use a glass paint scraper for cleaning pots, baking trays and the oven door.
Dish washer powder in hot water is great to soak off baked on food from pans and oven dishes.
Eye make up removers and face wipes in a toiletry bag under the sofa - always take my make up off whilst watching TV at night.
Alexa shopping list - keep her in the kitchen and just yell out "Alexa add .......to my shopping list' and as if by magic it appears on my phone!
Stacking pots with removable handles - oh the joy that is my pan drawer now.
Joseph Joseph stacking Tupperware - see above!
A mini chopper for chopping everything from onions, celery, carrot holy trinity for bolognaise to Brazil nuts and dried apricots for porridge - effortless.

This is an excellent thread! Probably the one that has changed my life the most (and will seems silly either to people who are more organised or who haven't tried it) is to have your own clothes and a towel ready for the morning before you go to bed no matter what.
Also to have the kids uniforms ready before you go to bed no matter what. Get kids to line up their shoes at the front door for the following day, saves so much time in the morning. And no matter what clean out all lunchboxes and flasks the night before and have flasks filled and in the fridge the night before. I started all of these things after christmas last year and things have changed so much. Also get up before kids where possible to get clothes on the line and make lunches before they're up. Also keep a packet of for example Match Attax or equivalent cards in your handbag/pocket for extreme emergencies (a sudden trip to the doctor/hospital or having to go somewhere unplanned). Also a good leave in conditioner (this is more just reminding myself to get one, I'd say it saves so much time!

I find my staff make life easier. The chauffeur to take me shopping, the housekeeper to organise the house and of course the cleaning staff. The butler takes care of the wine cellar and decanting and letting the vintage reds breathe.

The stable boy and manager look after the race horses and the estate manager takes care of the gardening and manicuring of the hedges, I do like my topiary.

(The above is all lies.)

Don't believe you are lying Dagenham - I've seen you cleaning your tiaras with Silver-Dip . . . .
