To ask what to get my daughter for her birthday?

Looking for ideas for my daughters 5th birthday.

I worked as a childminder so we have more toys than what is probably deemed 'normal!'

Any suggestions on what your 5 year olds have loved? I love wooden toys, big toys that will get a lot of play

We have a mud kitchen, playhouse etc. Open to more suggestions please! Thanks

I have a 5 year old DD and she has lots of toys that don't often get played with but one thing that does get used is her Kiddiezoom camera and she always says she's making memories so why not get a camera and buy a nice scrap book or photo album and colourful pens and plan a really nice day out for her birthday?
Maybe a picnic in the park or a playdate with friends? A trip to the farm or the zoo. She can take lots of photos and build a memory book to look back on.
If she's just finished reception, she can practice her writing with little captions describing the photos.

My DD has turned 5 today and I always really struggle with her. I bought her a wiggle car from Smyths (£30), made her a tipi (a lot cheaper than buying but you can buy them), does she like Disney princess castles? I bought a huge one for Christmas for DD, wasn't very expensive.

Have you got space in the garden for a trampoline? We've recently bought one and our dc (5 & 2) are never off it.

These are only small things but my DD(5) loves them!

And a book that has loads of cards & envelopes that you can colour in and make, I think it's Usborne too!

Does it have to be a toy? Can't you take her somewhere as a treat?

Magazine subscription like Sparkle or similar?
Tickets for a show if you have any theatres locally
CD player for her room or an iPod station and lots of audio books

I would go for something which is “hers”, not to be shared with your mindees and can stay in her room.

Desk and stationary

Books, board games,

Trip to somewhere she really wants to go
