My daughter used to love the Inghams, I watched their videos with her (she is 8 and had started watching them about 18 months ago so was not allowed to watch YouTube on her own) we never liked Chris, my daughter looked up to Isabelle and liked watching the two younger girls.
As soon as I read about the young girls allegations I chose to have a difficult conversation with my daughter regarding Chris’s behaviour. I didn’t go into the details, just saying that he had been cheating on his wife and trying to get multiple teenage girls to cheat with him. She was horrified and we both agreed that she would no longer watch their channel.
I honestly don’t know how any Mum could in good faith allow their vulnerable daughter/ son to continue to watch their channel after his awful behaviour.
I looked into the situation in detail and have read messages sent by Chris to multiple different teenagers and vulnerable young women. It is unfortunate that the young girl who came forward first, didn’t feel able to tell her parents about the messages when she received them, as his behaviour was illegal in Florida. Grooming a vulnerable girl under the age of 18 is a crime in many states in America. It is a crying shame that it is not illegal here!
Too many ‘stars’ have used their status/ wealth and influence, to groom parents and their teenage children. It is repulsive behaviour and should come with a heavy penalty attached to it!
