She's about to go into year 11.
When do we apply?
Do we give the college her predicted grades or what she just got in her year ten end mocks (which she did awful in cause she has arsed around all year and now is panicking. Angry)

Help!

before the christmas of year 11 - plenty of time - and predicted only

Open days are in october. My dd applied for sixth form at the end of nov. She got her offer in april. She has to wait for her results to confirm her place. She has two offers at the mo.

Applied in November year 11 and had her interview in March

At my college you can apply from after clearing in September. There will be numerous open days throughout the year until next summer for Sept 2019 starters. If your dd is going into year 11 though they often will do it in school during tutorial. (Unless the school has its own 6th form competing with the local college as is the case with our local schools!!)

I teach at a sixth form. Our interview days are in February, and are based on applications from before Christmas. We have plenty of late applicants though. It's probably worth calling / emailing the colleges you are interested in and asking when to apply, as it may be different for each one.
