To think it's Shocking how many men cheat on their partners/wives

Yes - I know women do it too but I feel like men do it so much more.

There's thousands of posts on here about men cheating/having full on affairs/ being on dating sites still. Are there ANY good men out there 😐

If you go by mumsnet you are in no way in HELL going to get a good representation of which sex cheats the most as there is only a teeny amount of male posters.

In Real life I have known 3 married female friends (no longer mates with them BTW) who cheated on their husbands and a few are were in long term relationships who slept around and their male partners knew nothing about it as nothing had changed apart from them "working a bit late" and more "night out with the girls". Also when 2 found out they didn't tell anyone outside their close family circle about what was happening.

Only known 1 man who cheated on their fiancee at the time but they ended up marrying, no idea if he has remained faithful.

Also I think men don't talk about it much, publicly or on forums so you don't hear about it much.

Not unusual at all! I'm single and am constantly hit on by married men or those in relationships. One of them being my so called 'friend' though we have had a relationship previously. One of the most recent blokes was a dad at my kids school. I went to school with his wife 🙄 They seem to have no shame about it either.

i dont think ability to be monogamous is a gendered thing. Im pretty sure cheating on spouses is evenly split.
Hopefully one of these days there will be a shift so that people who just cannot manage it dont have to pretend to themselves and everyone else that they can and will be monogamous, because its the deceit and the breaking of promises that I think is the worst thing. I have known so many people over the years and I just think why the fuck dont you just admit to yourself you want an open relationship or some poly set up. Be bloody honest

I know women do it too but I feel like men do it so much more.

Every time a man has sex with a woman, that woman has sex with a man. The numbers must be much the same.

That doesn’t make sense. Married men could be having affairs with unmarried / single women - so the man cheats, the woman doesn’t.

Also there could be a number of women who have affairs with many men, meaning that the male numbers are higher than females

There are a number of women who have affairs with many men; they are called prostitutes. However, most of the complaints on here are about normal affairs. I've not had an affair but I would have thought it difficult for a woman have affairs with many men, particularly if she is in a relationship, as there is only so much time.

Isn't there a statistic like if men earn more than £70,000 a year they have a more than 50% chance of being unfaithful ? I've been quoting this for years though so may be higher income by now

Every relationship that I have known that ended has been because of the woman cheating. This small sample of individuals cannot be a true representation of the statistics but I don’t think cheaters are limited to the male of the species.

only a person in a relationship is cheating (unless you are in some way involved with the partner, friend, sister etc) I am willing to bet most of the affairs have stated by the married person telling lies ...

So I’ve worked on the tools as a tree surgeon for around 7 years and I genuinely am shocked too by how men are having affairs and sleeping with prostitutes.
The worst was where a site manager had his company van changed every few months because he kept curb crawling and getting stopped!... He had a wife and kids.
I didn’t feel I could trust any man for a long time. I think as mentioned a lot of men in sexless marriages just need to feel closeness in any way they can.
The other side of the coin are the ones that just want to score with anyone they can and love playing the game and the attention. Sone with fiancés planning to get married are copping off with other girls. I think it’s a mentality these days which is all too common. Sad really.
