To want to reach out?

I went on a good first date with someone a few weeks back and things fizzled. He seemed keen and said he was (asked me out again), and I was intrigued by him. I think life got in the way? I know he was between job changes and I was in a weird place too. We messaged but things lost momentum and neither of us pushed it forward... of course it may well be the classic hjntim! I am curious though and don’t have any expectations or preconceptions - aibu to send a “Hey how are you?”

Sorry I know I’m dithering! I’m still annoyed at the way he blew me off really and not sure why am bothering

@MarthasGinYard Grin

Where has that bloody phrase sprung from? Makes me all vommy!

Popc0rn · 31/07/2018 10:25

Going against the grain here, but if you're sure that your mesaage got delivered, and he's been on WhatsApp or whatever since, I'd lean more towards just leaving it tbh. He didn't reply to your last message, which is rude, and you're annoyed about that (justified in my opinion!). So why bother getting back in contact?

Stewforyou · 31/07/2018 10:28

I know popcorn...

It’s more of a sense of curiosity from my part! On the off chance he was a bit anxious or whatever and pulled out, or life got in the way.

I will be disappointed but not really care if he doesn’t reply... And it becomes apparent that he just wasn’t that into me and chose the easy way out to tell me!

Hmm, anyway update if you do reach out!

Bibesia · 01/08/2018 01:35

As you are not one of the Four Tops, it is unquestionably wholly unreasonable to reach out.

Aintnothingbutaheartache · 01/08/2018 01:48

Do a little reach, but don’t break ya balls here. I’m a great believer in I texted last so it’s your turn! I might send a little reminder but unless you get a big positive......nah.
My experience has been they either come running or couldn’t be arsed

Move on, there are more fish in the sea.

Uggywuggy · 01/08/2018 02:43

I’d leave it, you’ll kick yourself if you send a message and he doesn’t reply again.

Lobsterquadrille2 · 01/08/2018 03:12

I'd text. If he doesn't reply, you'll know for sure and won't agonise over it any more.
