To ask if I owe my DH £50?

Since moving we have dual flush toilets.

In my opinion big button = wee, big because it's the button you'll use most

In his opinion big button = poo, big because it's a bigger flush

So confident was I in my correctness that I bet him £50. Unfortunately most of the internet seems to be wrong and to side with him.

Is it possible, have I been wrong all this time?

Just stick to your guns. Nothing to lose, eh? Wink

Thats like the one we have. You cant press the small button without pressing the big one, and not just because I have fat thumbs.

My parents toilet is small button wee, big button poo, both together monstrosity, but mine is big button wee, both together poo.

Little button, little flush.....

Explain your big button will be used the most logic opSmile

I didn’t even realise dual flush was a thing - I just thought they were fancy buttons Blush I’ve just been pushing both down at the same time for everything Grin

Aintnothingbutaheartache · 30/07/2018 02:16

It’s very simple really.
Little button = short flush for a wee
Big button = big flush for a poo
Both buttons together = “fuck me! I don’t remember eating that!”

AnnieAnoniMoose · 30/07/2018 02:38

I think you are both right and both wrong, depending on the flush, therefor no money needs to pass hands.

AnnieAnoniMoose · 30/07/2018 02:40

Unless, of course, you check your toilet out (look in the cistern) and you’re right right, then clearly he owes you £50.

😂

Agree with BrokenWing and others. Large button = small flush. Both buttons together = large flush. You can’t push the small button independently.

Don’t pay up!

Our toilet has a dual action flush lever (came with the replacement diaphragm free flush system) which according to the installation instructions allows for the effective disposal of just urine and small amounts of flushable tissue on a short flush ( push lever upwards) and the effective disposal of faecal matter and larger amounts of flushable tissue on a longer flush (push lever downwards).

Imo the lever is better for people who have long or false nails, it's also easier for small children and for anyone who has restricted movement in their hands.
