DS7 had his heel lanced today, and i thought it would be a quick job and would be healed within a few days, but have been told that he cannot walk on it for 10 days at all, other than trips to toilet, he has to rest. We can't go away until doc signs us off after 10 days, wound has dressings which need to be re done every 2 days, we can't do the fun stuff we normally do out and about - normally a lot of walking, running, swimming, sport. Can't play in garden in paddling pool or mess around. Can't go to beach.

Does anyone have any amazing ideas about what we could do??? I have had a difficult time the last 4 weeks or so, and I am feeling all out of anything positive. TIA

Be strict with him. The gp told me to stay off my feet, elevate legs until my feet were properly healed after my bonkers eczema thing saw me admitted as an emergency. Please make sure he stays off his feet til he’s all better. Netflix binge on something and pamper him.

Now is a good time for video games. Has he ever played Minecraft?
Dd was 5 when she had her tonsils taken out, and I got her the Frozen movie.
I think she watched that movie a hundred times. It kept her in bed and relaxed, so it helped a lot.
