My dd is obsessed with slime. She got some more today, but then I vaguely remembered something about some brands having unsafe levels of

Cornflour even!!

It's in cleaning products, hair products, saline solution.

It's only harmful if in VERY large quantities.

The homemade stuff with contact lens solution is fine.

I work in school science and the science advisory service for schools safe method for making slime with the kids is using contact lens solution.

It’s the ready made stuff in the shops that have been found to have too high levels of boron.
