To wonder what age youth is considered

When people are talking about 'younger people' or the younger generation...
What age range are you thinking?

I had still thought of myself as a young person (I'm 32) but it occurred to me that most people probably wouldn't actually include me in the young people bracket.

Under 25?

BlueTears · 27/07/2018 11:25

Yeah I guess I think 26 and under.

Anyone who makes me feel old - including my bastard mirror.

Jinglebells99 · 27/07/2018 11:36

At 32 I was already a mother and pregnant with my second child. My friend’s dd is 32 and posts lots of photos of herself on Instagram dressed in vintage clothes 50’s style. I think it’s probably up to 25, young persons railcard etc.

BlueTears · 27/07/2018 11:40

Yes same here jungle - second baby on the way. Actually got married under 25 too. Just guess I don't feel like I'm not young. Lol.

KC 😂 true!

Same OP. I'm 31, married with a DD and I still feel like a "young person".

Most people are surprised at my age though and guess be to be around 24/25, so I guess a lifetime of looking younger has caused that.

LeighaJ · 27/07/2018 12:30

Under 30

kenandbarbie · 27/07/2018 12:35

Well my 85 year old dad thought people who were 60 were young, so it's all relative!

DieAntword · 27/07/2018 12:36

To me a young person is someone still unburdened by caring responsibilities or the responsibilities that come with managing others at work. It’s basically once you are responsible for yourself (not a child) but not yet responsible for or having authority over others.

I also think it’s a bit of a historical novelty to have a period of young adulthood like that.

SendYouUpInFlames · 27/07/2018 12:37

Depends. I had 2 children and was married by 19 so it's hard to say.

Racecardriver · 27/07/2018 12:46

Under 30?

Oysterbabe · 27/07/2018 12:48

I think under 25 too.
My 72 year old father still complains about old people driving too slowly and getting in his way. Most are probably his age.
