To complain about this hotel room?

I might be being a bit spoilt and am happy to be told so. I am on a summer holiday with my dd (6) it's not going well. I paid just over £2000 so have been saving all year. The weather here is crap which is a massive disappointment but nobody's fault obviously. Then the room I'm in, it is tiny, with a balcony so small that I have to breathe in to walk along it and can only sit on it if I keep completely still. Not a big deal except that dd can't cope with late nights every night so will have to go at 8pm at least 3 times so I had counted on sitting on the balcony with a good book during these evenings. We're sharing a very small double bed which is very uncomfortable (requested a twin room) and the room is tiny, dark and smells strongly of damp. Nothing dries on the balcony as it is sort of squashed between two bigger rooms, we're at the bend of an L shaped building. I just feel so miserable after saving hard all year. However the outside of the hotel is nice and the room is in a good location so it's not all bad. What do you think, complain or count my blessings! Thanks.

Brilliant! Always worth asking. Enjoy the rest of your holiday.

Thanks everybody, wish I'd done it sooner now. Sorry to hear other people's stories though, I guess you do have to be prepared to fight your corner!!
