To ask if white/cream garden parasols get dirty?

We are looking at a parasol for the garden.
I want a cream/white/ecru one.
My DH says this is a bad idea as it will get dirty and look old and grubby very quickly.

I think he is being unreasonable as it's not like the parasol is being dragged around on the floor. We'll fold and cover it when not in use and bring into garage over winter.

Can anyone with a pale parasol tell me please, is he correct or am I?

We’ve got a cream parasol. Had it for three years now and it still looks fine, not grubby at all. We either lower it and cover it over at night or take it down and put it in the shed covered if we won’t be using it for a few days.
Some people can’t be bothered with the faff I suppose, but it takes literally a couple of minutes.

If you leave them out then yes; I’m not prepared to put mine away every day and would rather have a dark one that doesn’t show dust and dirt.

If you live in Central London - yes
Highlands of Scotland - no.

My cream one has a removable cover that goes in the washing machine.

Highlands of Scotland - no.

Depends on the number of birds in the vicinity Grin

It could age in the sun if you leave it out and if your in a sun trap. Also if it does get dirty I'm sure you could clean it with a hose and a big sponge.
