Firstly, I am all for being responsible with funeral planning/ providing for family and myself but are these ads a bit insensitive? Very happy to be told IABU!

I like them they're tongue in cheek and show that funeral planning is no different to any other kind of large expense so why do we happily plan those events but not our funerals? Great stuff!

ButchyRestingFace · 25/07/2018 15:12

I'm with you, OP. I think it's a bit much.

‘Roasting temperatures’. That’s too far.

missnevermind · 25/07/2018 15:17

I think it depends on when you are doing your planning.
If it’s for you and yours in the future then yea they are great. Fun even.
But if it’s after a death and needs doing through the emotion it won’t be appreciated at all.

Witchinghour1 · 25/07/2018 15:18

Yes, roasting temperatures was what I thought crossed the line too! I do like the thought behind it but seems slightly too dramatic

Mind you, I did laff at the Home Contents insurance ads that got pulled years ago.

"Going away for a while?"

under which slogan was a photo of Lord Lucan.

Grin It's quite obviously for advance future planning. I was amused.
